A walk on the tip of Trévignon

Meet in South Finistère, a few kilometers from the campsite, to discover the pretty wild point of Trévignon. Its dune and its pond are protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral.

Located between Concarneau and Pont Aven , you will love discovering Trégunc and the tip of Trévignon. 

The pointe de Trévignon is the starting point for many walks along the GR34, with a small fishing port on one side and a protected natural area on the other.  home to over 150 species of birds. 

These ponds, called loc’h, are a mixture of fresh and salt water. They  are separated from the sea by a dune line that stretches for 6km with large white sand beaches.

It is a beautiful place whatever the weather.

On a clear day, you will have a breathtaking view of the Glénan , along the GR 34, and you can go to the end of the pier, at the foot of the white and green lighthouse with a square section dating from 1924.

When the sea is rough, you will be able to admire the ocean and take a bowl of spray absolutely disorienting! 

On the tip of Trévignon, stands an imposing building, now private. It’s the Artaud castle . Occupied and looted during the Second World War, it was destroyed by a gigantic fire. This emblematic castle was rebuilt identically in the 1950s.

De petites embarcations sont amarrées dans un port calme à côté d'un bâtiment blanc étiqueté « Lifeboat House ». En arrière-plan, la structure de Trévignon, semblable à un château, émerge sous un ciel bleu, offrant une vue pittoresque à ceux qui choisissent de se promener le long du rivage.

At the port, you can watch the boats come and go and directly buy fresh fish and seafood. The return from fishing varies according to the tides, between 9 and 10 a.m. in the morning and between 2 and 3 p.m. in the afternoon.

At the end of your walk, do not hesitate to stop at Port Pass , restaurant which offers a large terrace with a panoramic view to admire until sunset! It is open 7 days a week in July and August.

And if you decide to come home earlier, stop by Trégunc do some shopping: the city is home to three factory outlets of famous Breton brands: Guy Cotten , known for its famous yellow oilskins, the Brittany brewery , well known to beer lovers, and the Courtin cannery . What to fill up with memories!
