Your stay will also be an opportunity to explore the whole of South Finistère and discover Concarneau, Bénodet, Quimper, Pont-Aven, Locronan or Douarnenez. All the information you need on tourism in and around Fouesnant is at your disposal to help you plan your excursions.
You can also take advantage of your stay to explore all of southern Finistère, and discover Concarneau, Bénodet, Quimper, Pont-Aven, Locronan or Douarnenez.
One of the main advantages of our Les Saules campsite is its direct access to the beach. No need to take the car: Kerleven beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in South Finistère, is right at the foot of the campsite. Just push the gate at the end of the campsite and you’re on the sand.
This proximity makes our campsite the ideal destination for vacations with younger guests. You can go swimming several times a day, watch the marine life on the rocks at low tide, sunbathe, hike the coastal path or fish. To find out more about our seaside campsite in Fouesnant, visit our dedicated page.
The Kerleven beach is supervised in July and August. Its gentle gradient makes it a safe place for families to swim. Children can have fun building sandcastles, digging tunnels or playing in the waves in complete peace and quiet. On some summer evenings, you can even spend the evening on the beach, counting shooting stars.
Our campsite also boasts sea views from some pitches, adding to the charm of your stay in Brittany.
Our family campsite is rated 4 stars and has all the facilities you need for your stay in a tent or mobile home. We have deliberately kept our campsite to a human scale, with around 100 pitches, enabling us to maintain a friendly, family atmosphere. Discover all our services for a comfortable stay.
On site, you’ll find a small grocery store selling local Breton products: crêpes, cider, salted butter, tinned fish from Concarneau and honey from Fouesnant. Our snack bar also offers meal options for those evenings when you prefer to relax after a day on the beach or sightseeing. If you’d like to find out more about our 4-star campsite in Brittany and its services, we’ll be happy to tell you all about them.
Children can have fun in the campsite’s water park, enjoying the slides and paddling pool to their heart’s content. The pool is heated from mid-May to mid-September, so you can extend the swimming season even when the Breton weather is temperamental.
For children aged 5 to 11, we offer a kids’ club with various sports activities, group games and creative workshops. The activity leaders organize orienteering courses, Olympics, big games on the theme of Breton pirates, painting and arts and crafts. With parents or friends, everyone can find their own rhythm during the vacations.
Outside kids’ club hours, your children can use the pétanque and volleyball courts, enjoy the play area with slides and swings, or simply play ball on the campsite’s large green spaces. We also organize 2 or 3 evening events a week in July and August: pancake evenings, concerts, bonfires and karaoke.
We offer two types of accommodation to suit your needs and budget. Visit our accommodation page to compare the different options.
Our mobile homes are recent and comfortable. They are ideal for families and can accommodate from 4 to 8 people, depending on the model. For large groups, discover our 8-person mobile home, which offers all the space you need for a stay with family or friends.
Each rental has all the equipment you need for your stay: fully-equipped kitchen with hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and kettle. The bedrooms are equipped with comfortable mattresses and ample storage space for your belongings. The bathroom has a shower, washbasin and separate toilet.
Outside, a covered terrace with garden furniture lets you take your meals outside and enjoy the Breton air. On request when booking, we can provide baby equipment: cot, high chair, bathtub. This allows young parents to travel lighter.
If you prefer traditional camping, we offer large pitches bordered by hedges. These shaded or semi-shaded pitches measure around 100 m² and can accommodate a large family tent with annex, or a motorhome with awning.
Les Saules campsite is planted with weeping willows, which give the site its name, as well as maritime pines and privet hedges for privacy and coolness. This vegetation is particularly appreciated on hot Breton summer days.
South Finistère offers the ideal setting for a family vacation. This part of Brittany combines sandy beaches, unspoilt nature, a rich cultural heritage and plenty of child-friendly activities. Here’s what makes this destination so attractive to families.
The South Finistère coastline around Fouesnant is characterized by its fine sandy beaches and relatively calm waters. The beaches at Beg-Meil, Cap Coz, Kerleven or La Forêt-Fouesnant have gentle slopes, allowing children to wade safely. Our location makes it easy to explore Beg-Meil or Cap Coz.
The Kerleven beach at the foot of the campsite is supervised in July and August by lifeguards. Children can have their first experience of the Atlantic waves in a safe zone. Parents appreciate the fact that they can go back and forth between the campsite and the beach without any hassle.
At low tide, the rocks reveal a fascinating world for children: crabs, hermit crabs, sea anemones, little fish in the puddles. It’s a chance to observe the marine fauna with a net and bucket, then put everything back in the water. These moments of observation often create the most beautiful vacation memories.
In Finistère, just a stone’s throw from the seaside, you’ll find unspoilt nature with moorland landscapes, forests and wild creeks. The “sentier des douaniers” (GR 34) passes close to the campsite, making for great family walks with views of the ocean and the Glénan islands.
The Glénan archipelago, off the coast of Fouesnant, is renowned for its turquoise waters reminiscent of tropical lagoons. In summer, sea shuttles leave from Port-la-Forêt, just a few kilometers from the campsite. This day trip allows you to discover these protected islands, swim in crystal-clear waters and sometimes observe dolphins during the crossing. Children love this boat adventure, which is a welcome change from everyday life.
If you prefer to stay on dry land, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to the walks available from the campsite. A pair of binoculars to play explorer, a geocaching app on your phone to motivate the older ones, and off you go on your adventure. Fouesnant’s forests conceal several signposted hiking trails through typically Breton landscapes. To plan your outings, consult our guide to visiting South Finistère.
If your children are not only adventurous, but also curious, they’ll be delighted by the range of vacation activities on offer. South Finistère is packed with museums and sites offering tours designed for the youngest visitors.
In Concarneau, the medieval walled town fascinates children with its ramparts, cobbled streets and castle. The fishing museum lets them discover the world of fishermen and climb aboard an old trawler. The Marinarium aquarium presents the marine species of Brittany and the Atlantic in reconstructed basins. These three visits can easily be combined in a day trip to Concarneau, 15 minutes from the campsite.
In Quimper, the Musée Départemental Breton traces the history and traditions of Brittany through costumes, antique furniture and everyday objects. The Musée des Beaux-Arts regularly organizes workshops for children. Saint-Corentin Cathedral, with its colorful stained-glass windows, always impresses the youngest visitors.
Other sites well worth a visit include the prehistoric interpretation trail at Pors Pouhlan, where you can learn about the lives of our ancestors, the Musée des Minéraux in Crozon for pebble enthusiasts, and the Domaine de Trévarez with its gardens and château. No time to get bored on your vacation in South Finistère!
We offer a kids’ club for 5-11 year olds, with sports activities, group games and creative workshops. Children can also enjoy the water park with slides and heated paddling pool, playground, volleyball court and pétanque. Outside the club, they can play freely in the campsite’s green spaces.
Yes, we have direct access to Kerleven beach. A gate at the end of the campsite opens directly onto the sand. So you don’t need to take the car or cross a road to get to the beach. This is a real advantage for families with young children.
Our mobile homes are fully equipped with full kitchens (hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, crockery), bedrooms with bedding supplied, shower room with toilet, covered terrace with garden furniture. Baby equipment (cot, high chair) available on request.
The pool is heated from mid-May to mid-September. This extended period means you can enjoy swimming even at the beginning or end of the season, when temperatures are cooler. The water park includes slides for children and a paddling pool for the little ones.
From the campsite, you can easily visit Concarneau and its medieval walled town (15 min), Bénodet and its seaside resort (15 min), Quimper and its historic center (20 min), Pont-Aven, the painters’ village (25 min), or take an excursion to the Glénan archipelago from Port-la-Forêt (10 min). South Finistère offers a wide variety of landscapes and activities.
We organize 2 or 3 evenings a week in July and August: pancake evenings, concerts, moules-frites… Our approach favors a friendly, family atmosphere rather than an intensive entertainment program. This leaves you free to take advantage of the campsite’s activities or to discover the many summer events in the surrounding villages.
Yes, we offer large, shaded or semi-shaded pitches of around 90 m², bordered by hedges. These pitches can accommodate a large family tent with annex or a camper van with awning. They are equipped with an electric hook-up point and you have access to the campsite sanitary facilities.
