JUNE 2026

Cherry Festival – La Forêt-Fouesnant

Distance from Les Saules: 8 km (12 minutes by car)

Venue: Théâtre de Verdure de Peniti, La Forêt-Fouesnant

This festival celebrates the arrival of summer and the cherry harvest in a 100% Breton atmosphere. We highly recommend bringing the whole family.

FESTIDREUZ – Fouesnant

The summer’s biggest musical event, just a stone’s throw from the campsite! Festidreuz has established itself as one of Finistère’s major festivals, with an eclectic program that appeals to all generations.

Peniti Celtic Nights

Distance from Les Saules: 8 km (12 minutes by car)
Every Wednesday in summer (from July 9 to August 28 approx.)

Venue: Théâtre de Verdure de Peniti, La Forêt-Fouesnant

A free weekly event that we love to recommend to our holidaymakers! It’s the perfect opportunity to discover Breton culture in an exceptional natural setting.

In the program :

  • Traditional Breton dance shows
  • Live Celtic music
  • Bagad and Celtic circles (including Ar Pintiged Foen)
  • Pancake stand to extend the evening’s enjoyment
  • Occasional concerts of jazz and other musical styles

Family-friendly atmosphere

Our tip: Bring a plaid and arrive 30 minutes early to get a good seat. The atmosphere is magical at dusk.

Fireworks in Beg-Meil

A pyrotechnic show over the sea, with a bonus program of entertainment before the grand finale.

Our tip: Sit on the beach from 9.30pm to enjoy the entertainment and get the best view of the fireworks.

A free, fun introduction to Breton dance for the whole family. Even if you’ve got two left feet, the friendly atmosphere will soon put you at ease!

Beg-Meil Tuesdays

Apple Festival

Fouesnant’s flagship event! Over 100 years of tradition around the apple, symbol of the Pays fouesnantais. This festival embodies the identity of our region, and we’re particularly proud to recommend it to you.

Cornouaille Festival – Quimper

Festival des Filets Bleus – Concarneau

Location: Quai Carnot, opposite the Ville Close de Concarneau

A legendary festival born of solidarity with fishermen. Today, it’s a not-to-be-missed popular event that attracts 80,000 festival-goers every year.

  • Mythical Sunday morning parade with election and crowning of the Queen of the Blue Nets

Visitors’ tip: One of the oldest and most authentic Breton festivals, not to be missed! Sunday is best for the grand parade. Parking can be tricky, so consider carpooling from the campsite.

Fête Bretonne and Feu d’Artifice in Mousterlin

Location: Pointe de Mousterlin, Fouesnant

A full day of festivities in the exceptional setting of the Pointe de Mousterlin, culminating in a fireworks display.

Summer entertainment usually finishes at the end of August, but September offers its own charms for lovers of tranquillity.

To make the most of events :

Free entertainment: Les Nuits Celtiques, concerts in Beg-Meil, Festival des Filets Bleus – enjoy them all!

Pardons: A unique experience to discover Breton traditions in a festive and convivial atmosphere. Even if you’re not a believer, the cultural and convivial aspect is well worth the detour.

Book early for major festivals (Festidreuz, Cornouaille, Filets Bleus). Passes go fast, especially for Festidreuz, which often sells out.

Local gastronomy: Don’t miss our seafood, crêpes, cider and apple specialties. Our best crêperies are waiting for you!

Ideal proximity: Camping Les Saules is strategically located: Fouesnant center 3 km, Quimper 18 km, Concarneau 23 km – all events are within easy reach.

What free events are there in Fouesnant in summer?
Les Nuits Celtiques de Peniti (every Wednesday), les Mardis de Beg-Meil (free concerts), les Lundis des Pintiged (Breton dances), and the Festival des Filets Bleus in Concarneau are entirely free.

What’s the biggest festival near Les Saules campsite?
Festidreuz (July 3-5) is the closest with 20,000 festival-goers. The Festival de Cornouaille in Quimper (July 23-26) has been the biggest festival of Breton culture since 1923.

Are the events child-friendly?
Yes, most of the events are family-friendly: the Cherry Festival, Apple Festival, Kérambigorn Beach events, fireworks displays and Breton pardons are perfect for families.

Where to park during major events?
Parking is available but may be saturated. Car-pooling from the campsite or organized shuttles are preferable. Please ask at reception for transport options.
