In summer, departures are from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.camping-les-saules.com\/en\/port-la-foret-2-2\/\">Port-la-For\u00eat<\/a>, just 2 km from the campsite.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"L&#039; Archipel des \u00eeles de Gl\u00e9nan, en Finist\u00e8re Sud en Bretagne\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yRYjO0UY3fI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n<p>Consisting of <b>8 main islands with a total area of 144 hectares of land<\/b> , the Gl\u00e9nan archipelago experienced varying fortunes.\nHousing only a few souls at certain times, there were 85 inhabitants at its peak in 1881: all fishermen, seaweed farmers or soda makers. <\/p>\n\n<p>Today, the archipelago, several of which are private or classified as ornithological reserves, is no longer inhabited except in summer, and almost entirely devoted to water sports. In addition to the most famous sailing school based at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.camping-les-saules.com\/en\/fort-cigogne-2\/\">Fort Cigogne<\/a>, it is home to an international scuba diving center. <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.camping-les-saules.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/les-glenan-3.jpg\" alt=\"A paradise awaits you on this picturesque beach of clear blue waters and sandy shores, where people enjoy the day. A boat rests near the shore, while a lighthouse in the distance stands out against a clear sky, reminiscent of the charming village of Les Gl&#xE9;nan. \"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.camping-les-saules.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/les-glenan-3.jpg\" data-elementor-open-lightbox=\"yes\" data-e-action-hash=\"#elementor-action%3Aaction%3Dlightbox%26settings%3DeyJpZCI6Nzg5MSwidXJsIjoiaHR0cHM6XC9cL3d3dy5zdGFnaW5nLmNhbXBpbmctbGVzLXNhdWxlcy5jb21cL3dwLWNvbnRlbnRcL3VwbG9hZHNcL2xlcy1nbGVuYW4tMy5qcGcifQ%3D%3D\"><br\/> <\/a><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visit the Gl\u00e9nan: Saint Nicolas Island<\/h2>\n\n<p>Ideal for a day of idleness and total change of scenery, Saint Nicolas Island is an essential destination in the region, very busy in summer, much less in June and September.<\/p>\n\n<p>Most companies offer a <b>morning departure, a stopover of around 3 hours<\/b> to tour the island of Saint Nicolas, eat and enjoy the beaches, and a<b> return in the afternoon.<\/b> The water is cool, but if you bring a little snorkeling gear, you&#8217;ll be able to admire <b>sea urchins<\/b> and <b>small fish<\/b> with ease.<\/p>\n\n<p>Please note: there are no links between the different islands, so most visitors stay on the main island to enjoy one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.camping-les-saules.com\/en\/beaches-fouesnant\/\">Fouesnant&#8217;s most beautiful beaches<\/a>.
