Brittany is currently developing a coastal cycle route called the V5 “littorale”. This cycle route runs along the coast of Brittany, from Concarneau to Pont l’Abbé. It crosses the Forêt Fouesnant. You can find the circuit on the “Riviera Bretonne” map available at the campsite reception or at the tourist office.e.
Starting from our campsite, you will find 5 circuits for all levels. Our campsite also offers mountain bikes for hire, with or without child seats. Bike rentals are available by the day or week. They include helmet and anti-theft device.
Just 1 km from the campsite, the Port de La Forêt Fouesnant is a pleasant stroll for all. In summer, you can enjoy the night market every Tuesday evening. The greenway, which runs the entire length of the route, guarantees a safe ride. Visitors particularly appreciate the peaceful atmosphere of the port, the view of the boats and the opportunity to sample local produce at the market.
The 5 km circuit from Camping Les Saules to Cap Coz is easy for all ages, and takes around 20 minutes to complete. There’s a 3 km bike path (the rest of the circuit is on the road or in the lanes). Take your time to admire the scenery, including Cap Coz beach and Anse de Penfoulic.
Cap Coz beach is particularly popular for its long stretch of sand, its gentle slope down to the sea, and its facilities such as hotels, bars, restaurants, toilets and water sports equipment rentals. It is also supervised in July and August, making it ideal for families.
For a longer stroll, the circuit from Camping Les Saules to Beg-Meil is an excellent option. With around 10.5 km to cover, you’ll discover Beg-Meil, a commune of Fouesnant, renowned for its magnificent coves, semaphore and slipway. Beg-Meil is also known for its sandy beaches, dunes and rocky headland with panoramic ocean views. This circuit comprises approximately 8km of cycle path.
Located about 13 km from the campsite, this circuit is perfect for more experienced cyclists, or those in good physical condition. The route takes you through the picturesque landscapes of La Forêt Fouesnant and Fouesnant, alternating between 6 km of cycle paths and 6 km of charming lanes.
It takes around 45 minutes to reach Mousterlin, which offers not only beautiful views, but also the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture. Here, you can spend time swimming in the refreshing waters, try your hand at fishing on foot, or simply sit back and admire the breathtaking sunsets.
Near Forêt Fouesnant, drive to Concarneau and its mythical walled town in the heart of Concarneau. As you stroll along its winding lanes and narrow streets, other charms are revealed, in its fishing port or on its beaches.
It takes just over 8 km to reach Concarneau from the campsite, with around 4 km of cycle paths. The cycle path is not yet present on the entire route, so you may come across vehicles on the road.
Whether it’s the picturesque charm of the Port de La Forêt Fouesnant, the tranquil beauty of Cap Coz beach, the wild escape of Beg-Meil, or the living history of Concarneau, each stage of your trip brings you closer to the very essence of Brittany. So get on your bike, breathe in the fresh sea air, and let South Finistère reveal its hidden treasures. It’s an adventure you won’t soon forget 😉
